Possible that the theme has chords taken from this song, "Let's Not Talk About It" from the Friendship album by Lee Ritenour, released in 1979?

SMB2 prototype?[edit]
So the Underground Theme was originally supposed to be in SMB2, before that was scrapped and the YK:DDP underground theme was used, but the scrapped theme is in the SMB2 prototype.
