The Red Fire is Mario's signature kart in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!. It is a default middleweight kart unlocked by default. The Red Fire has a red and blue paint job, reflecting Mario's color scheme, with his trademark letter "M" on the top of the kart and blue tires that say "Mario & Luigi". The Red Fire has average stats all around, and has the same stats as the Waluigi Racer, though the Red Fire is thinner, lighter (being the same weight as the Heart Coach and Barrel Train), and less vulnerable to shells and other items. Although the stars list its acceleration as three, the Red Fire's acceleration is actually tied alongside the Turbo Birdo, Bullet Blaster, and Parade Kart. The Red Fire's off-road statistic is identical to the Turbo Yoshi's. The Red Fire's counterpart is the Green Fire, which is Luigi's kart. Both has an identical engine sound to the Bullet Blaster.
