Pecans are pelican enemies in the Wario Land series. In Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3, they attack Wario by spitting mines from the pouch in their beak, and the mines will explode a few seconds after release. In their next appearance, Wario Land II, Pecans are heavy enemies that attack by spitting spiky fish out of their beaks, behaving similarly to Grunts. Unlike Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3, where Pecans appear only swimming in the water, Pecans in Wario Land II are seen walking on land, usually in castle levels.

Bomb spitting pelican

They will spew out bombs while making cute faces. If you hit it while trying not to get caught in the explosion, it will float, turn white, and pass out. This is useful because it can be used as a foothold.
