Gorilla Glacier is the fourth world in Donkey Kong Country and an arctic wasteland found on the peak of Donkey Kong Island. It consists of several ice caves and deep ravines, as well as a treetop village. In most levels, there is a 3-D effect of snow and dynamic backgrounds. Most of the levels have icy, slippery ground that cause Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong to slightly lose traction.

Gorilla Glacier appears to be the mountainous counterpart to the Volcano world from Donkey Kong Country Returns. When asked if they were the same region, senior designer Kynan Pearson approved of the idea. However, the Cliff world uses arranged versions of Gorilla Glacier's music.

In the Donkey Kong Country cartoon, the Gorilla Glacier portion of Kongo Bongo Island is referred to as the White Mountains. This area is the home of Eddie the Mean Old Yeti and is otherwise fairly barren of features.

	Snow Barrel Blast	The first level of Gorilla Glacier, Snow Barrel Blast is a snow-filled level containing several Barrel Cannons necessary to travel across the pitfalls.
	Slipslide Ride	The second level of Gorilla Glacier, Slipslide Ride takes place in an icy cavern. Getting through the levels requires the Kongs to use slippery ropes to slide either up or down an area.
	Ice Age Alleya	The third level of Gorilla Glacier, Ice Age Alley also takes place during a snowstorm, though it has more rope-swinging segments in place of Barrel Cannons. Shortly before the start is an animal crate of Expresso, who can help the Kongs cross the pitfalls more quickly. Mini-Neckys are the main enemies of the level.
	Croctopus Chasea	The fourth level of Gorilla Glacier, Croctopus Chase takes place in a very cold river. In various segments, a Croctopus chase after the Kongs, who have to swim away from them, until reaching a small area where the Croctopus rests.
	Torchlight Troubleb	The fifth level of Gorilla Glacier, Torchlight Trouble takes place in a dark cave level, exclusively featuring Squawks, who carries a torchlight to help the Kongs see their way ahead. Oil drums and Mincers appear as obstacles throughout the cave.
	Rope Bridge Rumbleb	The sixth and final level of Gorilla Glacier, Rope Bridge Rumble takes place in a treetop village. An animal crate of Winky appears in the first bonus room, and he can help by defeating Zingers and jumping between platforms over pitfalls.
	Really Gnawty Rampage	The boss level of Gorilla Glacier, Really Gnawty Rampage is where Really Gnawty is fought. He is fought similarly to Very Gnawty, except he can jump higher and, in the Game Boy Advance remake, cause stalagmites to fall from the ceiling upon landing.
